How does a pull-out sofa bed work?

A pull-out sofa bed converts differently to other models. The seat base pulls forward and the sleeping surface extends outward from beneath it, creating a full double-width sleeping area in front of the sofa. The result is a larger and more bed-like sleeping surface, which makes pull-out models the better choice when the sofa bed will be used regularly by guests or when a decent night's sleep is a priority.

What pull-out sofa bed types are available?

Our pull-out range covers three models, each available in multiple colours and fabrics.

• Corner sofa bed: We offer two models in corner styles. Our ARTHUR model is a corner sofa bed at 260 cm wide with a pull-out base that opens to a full double sleeping surface, a lift-up chaise storage compartment, adjustable headrests, a side panel with a built-in cupholder, and a wireless phone charger. The HARRY also offers storage, but sits at 290 x 157cm, the widest in the range, has a tufted finish and a lower profile at 80 cm tall. 
• 3-seater pull-out sofa bed: The CHARLES is a straight sofa rather than a corner design, at 222 cm wide. It converts to a double sleeping surface via the pull-out base and includes built-in cupholders in both armrests and a drop-down centre console.

Do pull-out sofa beds come with storage?

Yes! Our corner models include a lift-up storage compartment beneath the chaise section. You can access the storage at any time without converting the sofa into a bed; it's not connected to the pull-out mechanism.

What size are the sleeping surfaces on pull-out sofa beds?

All of our pull-out sofa beds extend to a full double bed mattress, great for 1-2 guests. Full open dimensions are listed on each individual product page, check these before purchasing if sleeping space is a priority, as the sleeping surface is always larger than the sofa footprint suggests.

What pull-out sofa bed fabrics and colours are available?

Our pull-out range is available in three upholstery types: Chenille fabric, jumbo cord, and faux leather suede. Chenille is the most popular choice; it’s soft, textured, and available in grey, beige, pale blue, green, and light grey. It's comfortable against the skin, which matters more on a sofa bed where you're likely to be sitting and lying on it without covers. Our 3-seater pull-out sofa bed is also available in grey jumbo cord, a heavier ribbed fabric that suits more relaxed or contemporary rooms. Faux leather suede is available in brown across all three models, and is the practical option if easy cleaning and pet-hair resistance are priorities. 

Do pull-out sofa beds come apart for delivery?

Yes, all Love Sofas sofa beds are delivered in separate boxes. The largest pieces can be bulky, so check the packaging dimensions on each product page against your doorway and hallway measurements before ordering. Furthermore, you can expect free delivery to England and Wales, finance available through Klarna, and a 1-year warranty on every sofa bed.
